SHELTERS: Residents needing help getting to a shelter should call the Citizens Information Line to schedule travel. LakeXpress, Lake Countyβs fixed-route bus system, will provide free rides on Wednesday to travelers who state they need to be taken to a shelter. Free rides will continue until conditions become unsafe. Riders must tell the driver they are going to a shelter to use the free ride.


Mascotte Charter is a Pet Friendly Shelter.
Government Issued Photo ID Required.
Bring Bedding, Essentials, anything to make your stay comfortable.


Closed Tuesday - Friday.
Friday is a Teacher Work Day, End is 1st Nine Weeks.

Picture Day! - Thursday, October 3: VPK - 2nd - Friday, October 4: 3rd - 6th. If it is your child's picture day, they may either dress up for the occasion or wear their school uniform. SHELTER: Lake County will be opening a shelter for those who need accommodations during the storm. The shelter will be at Leesburg Elementary School (2229 South St, Leesburg) and will open at 8:00 a.m. tomorrow, Sept. 26. As of now, the shelter is anticipated to close at 7 a.m. on Friday so that students can resume classes. However, Lake County Schools and the Lake County Office of Emergency Management will continue to monitor conditions and may reassess that schedule. If shelter and school hours change, that information will be released as soon as possible.
This is a general-population, pet-friendly, and special needs shelter. Be sure to bring all necessary supplies, including food, water, medication, bedding, and a pet carrier or crate.
